Hi James, Maggie, Stephanie and David!!!!

Having some fun!!!

Carter's Elf on the shelf, he named it Choo Choo train (he's really into trains!)

Early present from The Craig's, THANKS!!!

decorating cookies, they are in the shapes of hammers and circles

I saw an add for a rice crispy treat train in a magazine and decided to try and make it. It turned out pretty well, except the box cars started to fall in on themselves. Carter had a great time decorating it.

HALLOWEEN

Carter was Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars for Halloween. He enjoyed getting a bag full of candy and so did Zack (since he eats most of it). One of our neighbors even gave Carter some money and he thought that was awesome. Thanks everyone!!

Fall Fun!!!

Pumpkin Patch!!! We go to a great pumpkin patch where Carter gets to build a scarecrow, see animals, take a hay ride, go through a maze, and walk through the bubble forest. The people there are so nice and we always have a good time.

Children's Museum

A few weeks ago we took Carter to the children's museum and he had a blast!! Of course his favorites were the race cars, trains, and anything with wheels.

NC State game

Last Saturday we took Carter to the NCSU game. It was at 6:00, so a perfect time that would not interrupt nap time or get him to bed late. He had a great time and enjoyed watching the airplanes fly over before the game.

Enjoying the game
military appreciation

Go Wolfpack!!

look up, there's an airplane!

Lauren, Matt and Carter
Carter loves Lauren, she came to visit the other weekend and he always said "Lauren do it" when he needed help with something and kept asking where Lauren was when she left.

Wedding!!

Over the August 29th weekend, my sister got married to a wonderful guy at Ocean Isle beach. We had a great time!!! Carter danced the night away at the rehearsal dinner and even showed off some moves at the reception. He made a new friend and enjoyed playing with her. Congratulations Jen and Steve!!!!

Updates

I haven't updated the blog in a while. While this post will be without pictures, I promise to get some up soon. I have yet to put them on the computer.

Carter is getting so big and his vocabulary is expanding all the time. He now speaks in sentences, even using his name and saying "I". He also knows his colors; blue, red, yellow, orange, black, gray, pink, purple, and green!!! I have a video of him pointing out the colors, which I will upload later. We have yet to switch Carter to a big boy bed, but we will this weekend!!! We have partly waited because we tried a few months ago and he had a field day getting in and out of the bed, so wish us luck this weekend. Carter has also started going to the potty!! We have to remind him a lot, and if he is playing he forgets sometimes. Oh, he can also draw a circle!! We have been working on this for a little while and he has mastered it! I will also post a video of this. It is still hard to believe he is 2, where does the time go?.?

Next weekend, Carter will be the ring bearer for my sister's wedding. I can't wait to see how he does. I am sure he will walk down the aisle with a car in his hand, he never leaves home without one.

I'll post pictures soon!!

BEACH!!!

Over the weekend we went to the beach for the annual Optometric Society meeting. It was the 100th anniversary of the NC Optometric Society, what a great milestone!! I was able to spend some time at the beach as well as get some continuing education classes in. Carter enjoyed playing in the sand and the ocean, but he kept his shoes on the entire time. I guess he didn't like the way the sand felt on his feet.
